The Sculptures.

I began rock carving in 2010, because I thought it would similar but cheaper than pottery. And I totally fell in love with the monotonous filing and sanding and seeing what surprises are hidden inside a rock. There’s an ironic fragility to the stones that makes the work rewarding in a way no other medium I presently deal is. You can mend a mistake on a painting. Not too much can be done if you shatter your rock…
